It’s another grey day here in Central Ontario. I am really missing the sun again after our gorgeous beginning to the week!
The creative energy has really been flowing here this week. Every day I’ve been coming up with more ideas for products to put in the new shop, books to publish, courses I have access to that I’m finally ready to make time for and a whole host of other ideas. I’ve got a new “line” of training laid out for the new site, and I can’t wait to get it done so I can start recording.
Yesterday I asked the members of my now-closed membership what they wanted to learn from me and got some excellent suggestions. Today’s Read: 3 Tips to Gain Control of Your Day
Having strategies to gain control of your day is a huge part of managing your energy.
Have you every felt like your day was running you, instead of you dictating how your day should go? I feel like that way too often, so today I thought I’d share a couple of things that help me when I start feeling out of control and a little overwhelmed.
Here are three strategies you can use to gain control of your day:
1. Conduct a Time Audit
Take a few days to learn how you’re spending your time now and what the impact of that is. It’s easy to keep track if you use your smartphone to record what you’re doing on a note pad, by taking pictures, or by just writing down what you’re doing and the time and impact of it on a piece of scratch paper. The important thing is that you should know after a week or so how you’re spending your time now and how the actions you’re taking are affecting your goals.

I was able to review the main offer and found it to be a good resource for people just getting started. It’s probably a little basic if you’re already publishing on KDP or are using any of the puzzle generator software to create your own printables.

That’s it for me this afternoon. I’m off to figure out something for dinner, and then get back to work. The internet was so slow here for most of the day, it wasn’t even worth trying to get much done. At one point it told me it was going to take 2 days to download 1 stock photo for my blog post! That’s even worse than dialup days! So now that it’s back up to speed I’ll be working this evening to get things done before I take most of the weekend off to help Shaun move into his new house.
