It’s a gorgeous morning so far here in Central Ontario, although we’re supposed to get hit with some pretty stormy weather later in the day.
This morning I got hit with a reminder that golf season is just about done for this year. We haven’t been out much at all this year, between Shaun’s job, him spending weekends at the girlfriends, and my wonky knees.
But I use this dashboard on my browser called Momentum Dash, and it either shows you pictures from other people or, if you have the paid version, you can upload your own. And the pic that showed up for me this morning was of my favourite course that I took last fall when the leaves were starting to turn. I think that means I’ll be pushing for a few golf dates before the season ends in a few weeks.
It also reminds me that we are moving quickly into Q4 and I’m not anywhere close to being ready for it again this year. So, I’ll be reworking my schedule starting today to make sure the KDP and Printables Shop projects get worked on first every morning.
One of the things I’ll be working with this week is the Year of Journaling for Personal Growth pack that was on sale a couple of weeks ago. I’m doing a live workshop next week sharing how I plan to use the whole package. It started as a bonus for the people who bought the bundle with my link, but I’ve decided to open it up to everyone who’s interested for the nominal fee of $27.

Today’s Read: Using Data to Determine What’s Working on Your Website
Checking your web stats is definitely not the fun part of the job, especially if you’re seeing less than stellar results in terms of things like traffic, new and returning visitors, and conversions.
The good news is that for most of the core statistics you need to be keeping track of, your website host usually includes that in your back end. Used in conjunction with Google Analytics, both sets of stats will give you enough data to determine what’s working and what’s not.
Before we dive into what data you should be using to, I think it’s helpful to understand the difference between statistics and analytics.

Creating Coloring Pages in Affinity Designer
The Creating a Coloring Book with Affinity Designer course from my friend Kerie Hinchliffe is a good one for you if you’re wanting to create your own images for your coloring books. I’ve gotten through the first module where she goes through where to find images, and what file types to look for. I’ve also got through pieces of the second module where she talks about the parts of Affinity Designer we’ll be using in the rest of the course. I really like how clearly Kerie explains everything and even though I’ve used Designer for a few things, I’m learning a lot in this course that’s going to help me with publishing my own coloring books down the road.

Andy Charalambous has a new training out this week that dives into how to create and publish books that sell. It’s called the Book Publishing Truth Formula and it sets out Andy’s own system for publishing books that sell. I’ve taken a lot of Andy’s courses over the years, and I always come away with some golden nuggets from them. So, I’m expecting this one will be the same when I start reading it tonight. He’s also included some extra tutorials just so you get the full picture.
It’s on sale for $21 for a few days, so if you’re interested grab it now before the price goes up.
