Happy Sunday!
It snowed here again last night, and we’re supposed to get even more over the next couple of days. Shaun’s last cyclocross race is this morning, so he’s off racing in the snow as I write this. And I’m happily sitting here with a nice cup of hot tea and fuzzy socks keeping my feet warm.
This morning in my journaling session I pulled a card for the week ahead, and the message was to be like water and flow around any problems I might be experiencing. The second message was that I may possibly be forcing myself to swim upstream right now and force myself to push through an obstacle that’s meant to steer me toward something better.
That actually makes a lot of sense to me, and I’ll write more about it in a future newsletter, once I’ve processed a bit.
But the real reason I wanted to share that with you is because I have this photo that Shaun took for me a few years ago, and the whole thing about water flowing around obstacles made me think about it.
This was taken in April, and the ice had just finished melting. He waded out into the middle of the creek to take this for me:
