I’m writing this at about 3 a.m. – the insomnia bug strikes again! I’m sure a lot of it is stress related due to the events of the past couple of days, but I am okay and this, even though it affects my business is really a small bump in the big scheme of things. And honestly, I’m hearing stories from friends who have lost months of orders and data that all have to be manually recreated in their systems. And some people’s sites still aren’t back up yet. At least I have all mine but one, and only lost a day’s worth of data from the looks of things.

Before we go too much further, I just want to thank you for all your emails and messages of support. I really appreciate you, and am so grateful for our community.

 Author Assignment of Copyright from Attorney Bob Silber

Did you know that even when you pay someone to create content for you, that unless you legally have them transfer the copyright to you, they keep the copyright even though you paid for the content? I didn’t know that either, but I do now. And I’m doing something about it.

One of the people I’ve been privileged to get to know over the last year is Dr. Bob Silber. He has created an Author Assignment of Copyright form which is the copyright transfer legal document that copyright law requires for you to transfer ownership rights to yourself from the author.
