Happy Thursday!
Yep, my Christmas shopping is finally done. I was up with the squirrels this morning (the ones that aren’t already hibernating anyways), and hit Walmart, the Dollar Store, and Canadian Tire all before 9 a.m. I figured I’d miss the crowds that way, but all the stores were packed. I think everyone had the same idea, to get in and get out before the rain and the snow started. And it was an absolutely glorious morning once the sun came out, but the messy stuff has started now and according to the weather channel, we are in for a real treat (not my idea of a treat, but oh well.)
I just went out to move the car up against the wall, and even though it’s only drizzling at the moment, the parking lot is about as slippery as the ice skating rink across the road. If it ends up being as bad as they say it is, I’m not leaving my house again until Sunday, and I shouldn’t have to because I bought enough food to feed a small army this weekend, refusing to believe that Shaun won’t make it home for Christmas.
That means as long as the power stays on, I’ve got 3 whole days to get work done! And I’m excited because after talking to my accountability coach this afternoon, I’ve got a plan to start the new year off the way I want it to be, not the way I’ve been feeling it has to be. (Believe me, the two are so far apart as to be almost different planets!)
