Happy Saturday!

And Happy Christmas Eve if you’re celebrating this weekend!

I finally heard from Shaun last night, and he said they are going to leave to head here around 11 a.m. this morning. I’ve been watching the highway conditions map, and it’s looking like things are clearing up a lot along the roads they have to take to get here. The only one that has a poor visibility warning right now is the stretch of highway that leads into town here, and that’s always bad in the winter because it’s open on both sides so there’s a lot of blowing and drifting snow.

But, if all goes well they should be here by about 2 p.m. so we will have all afternoon today, and most of tomorrow before they head back to the girlfriend’s for another week.

And that means I need to spend most of the morning tidying up around here because last night I pretty much just flaked on the couch and binged on old episodes of the Christmas Cookie Challenge.
