I’m excited this morning because Pantone just released their Color of the Year for 2022. “Very Peri” is, according to their website, “A new pantone color whose courageous presence encourages personal inventiveness and creativity.” Pretty spot on for us creative entrepreneurs, I think.

Speaking of courses, today’s the last in our series on getting the most out of the courses you buy. We’ll be revisiting this a lot over the next year as one of my big goals for 2022 is to create more courses and workshops for you.

Today’s Read: Getting Your Course Investment Back

It’s no secret that purchasing a course online or making an investment to attend a class in person can cost a lot. If you add travel to the mix, you may have more going out than coming in for a while. When you decide to purchase a new course, it’s important to consider how quickly you can recoup your investment. The answer may surprise you!

What’s Stopping Your from Recouping Your Investment?

Before you even buy a course, you should have some idea of quickly you can make your investment back. If you’re not ready to take action and implement what you’re learning, it may be best to wait for another time to make that purchase.

How quickly you take action has a direct relationship to how quickly you can get your course investment back. Taking the coursework seriously and implementing what you’ve learned can generate the results you expected when you signed up.

Is Implementation the OnlyWay to Make Your Money Back?

While it’s not the only way to get your course investment back, implementation is definitely best way to do it. Learning and applying what you learn makes the most sense if you feel like you got your money’s worth out of the material.

However, it’s not the only way to recover your costs. Another way to get your investment back is to make some changes to your budget to make room for it in the first place. The main thing here is to ensure that the purchase has the least financial impact possible on your bottom line.

Here are a couple of things you can do to help you get your investment back as quickly as possible:

1. Challenge yourself to make more money: Whether short term or long, challenging yourself to earn more can help bring in income quickly to avoid debt or recover an investment in a course. What product or service can you add to your inventory to generate more sales actively or passively?

2. Have a sale: When homeowners need to make a fast buck or get rid of things they no longer need, they host a yard sale. Knowing how long it will take to get your course investment back is a huge part of your purchase strategy.  It’s a given that you can’t sign up for every course that catches your attention, but having a strategy in place to recover your costs make it much easier to justify the ones that you know can help your business grow.
