Happy Thursday!
Yesterday my presentation in the Creative Spark Summit dropped, and I was in their Facebook group answering questions for most of the morning. I thought for sure after that I’d get a newsletter out, but alas… the day got away from me again!
After the presentation I had breakfast, and then decided I should go pick up my laundry and make a quick trip to the foot doctor. I wasn’t liking the way my foot looked – I’m so paranoid about it getting infected again – and I knew he only worked Monday to Wednesday now, so I dropped in there to have him take a peek and reassure me that everything is okay. Good news… it is!
But… I’m thinking end of April right… 5 degrees outside isn’t so bad… wear a coat and you’ll be fine. So I stuck my feet into my stretchy crocs and threw on my windproof jacket only to get downstairs and out onto the street to find… SNOW! I couldn’t believe it was snowing this late into the season.
The last time I remember this happening was 2002 when I had my first heart attack. I went into the hospital wearing shorts and a t-shirt, and the day I came home Shaun had to bring me jeans and boots because there was two inches of snow on the ground!
Anyways, I digress… Here’s what I have for you this morning
Yesterday’s Read: 8 Tips for Creating Landing Pages That Convert
So, once you have your lead magnet, you need somewhere to share it with your audience. That’s where landing pages come in.
Your landing pages should be very focused on the people who need the content you’re promoting and the lead magnet itself. Don’t try to appeal to everyone, and don’t get off topic about the benefits of the solution you’re offering. It helps if you can use a template for a dedicated landing page to make things easier.
Today’s Read: 11 Ways to Drive Traffic to Your Landing Pages
The next step for setting ourselves up for list building success is finding ways to drive traffic to the landing pages you’ve built. Getting traffic to your landing page isn’t all that much different from how you drive traffic to anything you do for your online business. It’s mostly just a case of figuring out what works best to reach your audience, and being consistent with it.
Three Things I’m Excited About Today
Three Things I’m Excited About Today
Thing 1 – 30 Day Quit Sugar Challenge from Jan
I’m excited about this because it comes at a perfect time for me. I had just said to Shaun on the weekend that I need to stop eating so much sugar, and the next day Jan mentioned that she was coming out with this program. I’ll be grabbing a copy to use for myself, and to turn into products for my Etsy store too.
The planner is in the form of a 30 day challenge with 38 unique pages including 2 covers, and 2 background options and a motivational copyright free quote on each of the daily challenge pages. It also come with PowerPoints and Canva versions in both A4 and US Letter sizes and an extra text file of quotes. Use coupon code QUITSUGAR to pick it up for only $12.95 through Thursday, May 5.
Bonus Offer: This product qualifies for a bonus. You’ll find the bonus claim instructions in the dashboard on Jan’s site after purchase
Thing 2 – The Fontastic Course from Marian
I love fonts. So I was really excited to see Marian’s newest course on how to use a piece of software to create your own fonts, and that’s just the first part of the course. In the second section she shares:
- how to create image fonts from public domain images,
- how to use a public domain sign writing font and make it into a print font and
- ideas on how to take a public domain font and give it a twist to create an original version using PowerPoint.
The training is on sale for $19 from now through Sunday, May 1 – no coupon required.
Bonus Offer: This product qualifies for a bonus. Email your receipt to me at ritchiemedia@gmail.com and put BONUS CLAIM in the subject and I will send you the link to choose your bonus.
Thing 3 – The Spring Fling 7-in-1 Planner Kit from Shawn
If you’ve been here for any length of time, you’ll also know how much I love mix and match type products, and Shawn’s new release has to be one of my favorites because of the sheer amount of content you get to create planners for sale.
In addition to the 7 mix and match backgrounds, you’ll also get a custom color set, and how-to training.
There are three options – print, digital, and a combination with both – and they’re all on sale through Wednesday, May 4. Plus, during the launch week Shawn also has two bonus designs that are perfect for Mother’s Day.
Bonus Offer: This product qualifies for a bonus. You’ll find the bonus claim instructions in the dashboard on Shawn’s site after purchase
One Live Event Today…
Today’s the day! The Virtual Events Unlimited Vendor Showcase gets underway with me (I really hate going first) at 12 noon Eastern.
I’ll be doing a ConvertKit Walkthrough that shows you how to set up your account, import a list, and get your first opt-in ready to go.
The other presenters are Eric Newdom from Bublup at 2 p.m., And Shane Nathan from Warrior Plus at 4 p.m.
Okay, so I couldn’t stop at just one… The Creative Spark Summit is still going on for another day or two.
My presentation on Creative Repurposing: How to Turn a Simple Planner into Multiple Products dropped on Wednesday, April 27, and was pretty well received.
Bonus Offer: Buy the Spark Pass and claim 3 bonus choices. Email your receipt to me at ritchiemedia@gmail.com with BONUS CLAIM in the subject.
That’s it for me this morning. I’m off to get ready for my presentation. Hope to see you there!
Have an amazing day/evening! Create what makes your heart happy.
