Happy Monday!
I’m off to a slow start this week and I’m not even really sure why. I was up at 6 a.m. this morning, and had all my Monday morning admin work done by 8, and then the wheels just sort of fell of. I talked to a couple of people on Facebook, wrote today’s blog post and then it was time for an afternoon of zoom calls. I even considered not sending this out tonight, but there are a couple of deals ending today that I didn’t want you to miss out on.
I thought I’d do something a little different with the daily reads starting today. I’ve already written the post and it’s up on the blog. I’ll post a summary of the article here for you, and then you can decide if you want to read the whole thing.
I’m doing it this way for a couple of reasons:
1) To shorten the newsletters down to a more manageable size. I love writing newsletters for you every day but believe me writing between 2000-4000 words every day can get to be a bit much for both the writing and the reading of!
2) To give myself extra ways to share my products and my favorite vendors’ products.
3) To give my affiliates something else to promote. If I monetize a post with only my products, I can give my affiliates links to those posts and they can earn commissions on my products mentioned in the articles. It’s one of the things I really like about amember – the ability to turn any blog post into an affiliate link.
So, here is today’s read for you…
Today’s Read: 4 Follow-up Strategies to Build a Relationship with Your New Subscribers
Since we’re starting to get into new events and list-building activities, I thought it would be good to talk about one of the most overlooked parts of list-building – your follow-up strategies.
It’s not just enough to get someone one your list. You need to be building up the know, like and trust factor right from the beginning. Studies show that only about two percent of sales are made on the initial contact. That means if you want to turn your event subscribers who have expressed interest in your free event offering into paying customers, how you follow up with them is crucial.
Here are four follow-up strategies you can use to start building a relationship with your new subscribers:
- Say thank you
- Add your own personality to your emails
- Develop an optimal length email for your audience
- Invite people into your community
And now, here are today’s deals…
Ruthie’s Top Picks
(reprinted from yesterday’s Sunday Roundup)
Pick #1 – Self-Care Rituals Ekit from Ekit Hub – As I’m sure you know by now, self-care is one of my favorite niches to work it. So I’m grabbing both the front end and the upsell packages for this Ekit. I know I’ll be able to do a ton of different things with all of the assets included here. (Offer details in the Low Content Resources section)
Pick #2 – Emergency Preparedness Plan from Lynette – I’m picking this one up not only to create a product from, but to use for myself. I think if this past year or two have shown us anything, it’s that we really do need to be prepared for the unexpected and have plans in place. (Offer details and coupon code in the Low Content Resources section)
Pick #3 – Low Content Product Bootcamp from Sharyn – I picked this up for myself the other day because it’s full of possibilities for sharing low content product creation with people. (Offer details in the PLR Deals Section)
Pick #4 – The Kitchen Sink Plus from Melody – This is still one of my favorite memberships to belong to and not just because it’s Mel! I love the content she puts out because it’s different than most of what others are creating right now, and because you get the whole set of exclusive content every month – lead magnet, printable, and full digital planner. Use code KSPLUS to save$10 off the monthly membership through Monday, February 7.
