Happy Monday!
I’m off to exercise class in a bit here, but I really wanted to get this out to you before I left. (We’ll see if it happens or not!) I am really glad I cleaned my car off yesterday and moved it out into the centre of the lot, because the snow finally stopped late yesterday afternoon, but I heard the plow out in the lot earlier this morning and if I’d left the car against the wall I’d have to dig my way out!
I want to talk this morning a bit about challenges and accountability. If you have trouble getting things done on your own, these can be a great way to not only learn something new, but actually get stuff done!
If you follow along with the group, and do the challenge tasks as they happen, it’s also a great way to build relationships and make new connections. I didn’t really start seeing success in my business until I joined a membership that had monthly challenges and a really vibrant community around them. And not only did I get stuff done every month, I made connections in that membership that still last today!
Challenges also make you accountable to the group, and can provide co-working opportunities depending on how the organizer has them set up. So that’s another plus. I personally like my accountability one-to-one, and so I pay an accountability coach for that. But if you’re not ready for that yet, then there are opportunities like Lori Winslow’s new Monday Momentum membership where you can get accountability, questions answered and co-working every Monday for only $10 per month! I’d probably join that too, except that’s when my exercise class is every Monday morning!
This morning I’ve got three challenges you can check out, and they all cover something a little different:
Challenge #1: The Self Care is Self Love 21-Day Challenge from Pamela James
Self-care is high on my priority list this year, so I’m really looking forward to the Self Care is Self Love 21-Day Challenge that Pamela contributed to the New Year, New Habits Bundle.
When you grab the bundle and access the challenge, starting February 1, each day for 21 days you’ll receive a simple ‘challenge’ by email along with a journal prompt and affirmation. Your goal, if you should choose to accept it, is to create a wonderful new habit which will benefit you in every area of your life.
The only place to get this challenge right now is as part of my bundle, and that ends tomorrow!
Challenge #2: The Low Content Comeback from Julie Coffman
Julie is back after suffering from major burnout last year. She’s got a new challenge for you – The Low Content Comeback – and is offering a rare, behind the scenes, tour of her actual low content business. For this challenge we (and yes, I’ll be there right along with you) get to follow along for 5 weeks as Julie shows us how to start and grow a low-content, product-based business from the ground up.
There will be 10 modules in total, delivered 2 per week, and you’ll also get access to a private community for real-time help, questions and support.
I personally need this because I’m great at the product creation stage of things. It’s the posting and selling of where I get blocked. It’s not often that someone shows you exactly what they’re doing in their business, so I’m excited to dive into this myself when it starts on February 6.
Challenge #3: The Making Bacon Challenge from Piggy Makes Bank
Tracy and Susanne have come up with an awesome bundle/challenge for you: The Making Bacon Challenge: List Building & Content Marketing Edition is geared toward helping you “get your butt in gear so you can make some serious progress.” For your $50 registration fee you’ll get:
- Access to 2 courses:
- 10 Minute List Building Tasks
- 10 Minute Content Marketing Tasks
- A coupon code worth $200 so you can choose the PLR you’d like to work on during this challenge. The value will diminish with each purchase. That just means if you buy all the PLR you want and still have $12 leftover you can use that $12 towards your next PLR purchase. However, coupons don’t stack so you can’t use it in conjunction with any other coupons.
- Two 30 minute Live Q & A calls via Zoom. At 11:30 a.m. Eastern on February 13th and 11:30 a.m. Eastern on February March 13th to answer any questions you might have.
- Submit your questions each week via a Google form that we’ll check daily so we can get your questions answered as quickly as possible. We might make it a blog post or video for the benefit of everyone.
- 24 emails with information and motivation to get your brain juices flowing and help you get your butt in gear so you can make some serious progress.
